The Incline

What an incredible hike. The aptly named incline is a 1 mile stretch of steps that increases in elevation by 2000 ft. It is the remains of an old railroad mountain pass. Beyond the summit, trails continue 10 more miles to Pike's Peak.

You can see the trail from the highway as you approach- it looks like a scar in the side of the mountain.
